Given below is a summary of the laudable achievements by IIT-HOME students in different examinations. The highlights endorse IIT-HOME’s commitment to excellence at the top along with equal focus and a holistic approach towards all examinations ensuring that all students at the Institute succeed and not just a handful of toppers.

  • IIT-HOME gifted Nagpur city its first ever AIR 1 with Chandra Maloo emerging as All India Topper in JEE Main 2013.
  • 111 is the maximum number of students ever qualifying in the history of IIT-HOME.
  • IIT-HOME scored triple century for the first time in number of students being eligible for JEE Advanced (second stage after JEE Main) with 302 students clearing JEE Main cut-off for JEE Advanced.
  • 2 students scored 400+ marks in BITSAT. Chandra Maloo also the All India BITSAT Topper achieved a mammoth score of 442 out of 450.
  • A total of 73 students scored more than 90% marks in XII Boards, a feat unachieved in the history of IIT-HOME till now.
  • 7.55% of the Top 2000 State Ranks in JEE Main 2013 claimed by IIT-HOME students with 151 students below State Rank 2000 in the exam.

  • A total of 111 out of 126 students preparing for JEE ADVANCED 2013 qualified the exam.
  • A success rate of 88.1% as compared to All India Success Rate of approx. 16% was achieved (A total of approx. 20,000 candidates have qualified out of 1.25 lac candidates who appeared for the exam.)
  • Among the qualified students, 69 students have qualified in the Common Merit List (CML) by scoring more than the general category cut-off while 42 students have qualified in the reserved category list.
