Given below is a summary of the laudable achievements by IIT-HOME students in different examinations. The highlights endorse IIT-HOME’s commitment to excellence at the top along with equal focus and a holistic approach towards all examinations ensuring that all students at the Institute succeed and not just a handful of toppers.

  • 125 is the maximum number of students ever qualifying in the history of IIT-HOME.
  • IIT-HOME scores triple century for the second time in terms of number of students being eligible for JEE Advanced (second stage after JEE Main) with 351 students clearing JEE Main cut-off.
  • It is second time in the history of IIT-HOME that 3 students have scored 400+ marks in BITSAT.
  • A total of 101 students have scored more than 90% marks in XII Boards, a feat unachieved in the history of IIT-HOME till now.
  • 6.05% of the Top 2000 State Ranks in JEE Main 2014 claimed by IIT-HOME students with 121 students below State Rank 2000 in the exam.

  • A total of 125 out of 190 students preparing for JEE ADVANCED 2014 qualified the exam.
  • A success rate of 65% as compared to All India Success Rate of approx. 13.3% was achieved (A total of approx. 20,000 candidates have qualified out of 1.5 lac candidates who appeared for the exam.)
  • Among the qualified students, 85 students have qualified in the Common Merit List (CML) by scoring more than the general category cut-off while 40 students have qualified in the reserved category list.
  • The list of qualified candidates consists of 20 girls and 105 boys.
  • 121 off the qualified students were first attempt students while 4 students were second attempt students.

  • A total of 421 out of 428 qualified JEE Main 2014 from a single centre of IIT-HOME, and were eligible for Centralized Counselling Procedure for admissions to NITs.
  • A success rate of 98.36% was achieved as compared to the All India Success Rate of approx. 10.7% (A total of 1.5 lac candidates have qualified out of approx. 14 lac candidates who appeared for the exam).
  • 305 of the 351 qualified students qualified in Common Merit List (CML) by scoring more than the general category cut-off of 115 marks out of 36
  • A total of 46 students qualified the exam in reserved category list.
  • The list of qualified candidates consists of 82 girls and 269 boys.
