IIT-HOME, on Tuesday 30th July, celebrated the 2015 edition of its annual cultural event Gyananjali at Dr. Vasantrao Deshpande Hall, Nagpur. Gyananjali 2015 comprised of cultural performances and technical presentations, followed by felicitation of meritorious students graduating from IIT-HOME. The event was organised by a team of over 100 alumni of IIT-HOME from 4 different years – 2011 to 2014, and more than 150 students from the graduating batch – 2015, participated in the event.

The event was graced by Ms. Nisha Kothari (Founder and M.D. of IIT-HOME), Chief Guest Dr. S. Limaye (Ex-Principal of RCOEM) and Student Guest Mr. Hiren Chawra (IIT-HOME 1997 batch student) In addition over 1000 students of class 11th & 12th and parents attended the event.

Gyananjali 2015 began with the cultural segment, which included dances, music and a drama act. After the cultural segment, which was immensely appreciated by the audience, the technical segment followed. Next, the guests for the evening gave words of wisdom for the budding engineers in the audience.

The event concluded with the felicitation of meritorious IIT-HOME students, who excelled in various fields. Kanak Agrawal has secured All India Rank 10, and he is anticipated to be the Central India topper. Kanak was also the Vidarbha topper in JEE Advanced with AIR 42. In JEE Main results, Kanak is followed by Twinkle Choudhary with an All India Rank of 261 and Anay Shembekar with AIR 415. A total of 13 students have secured ranks in top 1000.

Yash Gaurkar has secured All India Rank 2 in the B.Architecture list of JEE Main 2015. A total of 6 students from IIT-HOME have secured ranks in top 500 and 12 students have secured ranks in top 1000 in this list.
